Default How to make this Psytrance sound with the TI?

Does anyone know how to get this sound from the TI? It?s the elastic stretchy sound playing over the bass and drums! Here.

We had some guy in our studio yesterday who loves that type of music...So we were messing around also getting that type of sound, but we were using the Vanguard VSTi I also think that they were using Cutoff on every note that was played in the sound you want in your MP3..(Cutoff going apeshit )

8O I can?t get close to that sound with vanguard. The sound to me sounds like its using PW Pitch technique but im not sure. Sounds like Oberheim filtering to me? Can the TI make this sound, anyone willing to tackle this or knows the exact instrument used?

I can definitely give it a shot since im always up for learning some new sound design tricks. problem is, im catching a plane back to the UK for christmas on the 20th where i will be without virus for a week. so if you can hold out for a week or 2, ill get on it!

since working fulltime i dont have time to produce whole songs that much - so i downsize and just build sound assets every day instead

Simple!
1 Saw oscilator, pitch modulated by envelope.
then run thru a bandpass filter which is modulated by a medium speed sine lfo.

There is/was a patch on the Virus KC which was meant to sound like squeeking floorboards as someone walked over them. I dont know the name of the patch....but with some tweaking it'd give you what your looking for. Someone here should know the patch im talking about. Might have been one of BC's creations...

I really enjoy these sound design questions. I read Tomer=Trance's post and followed it exactly, on my Virus C. It took about a minute so it shouldn't take too long to tweak it to match the audio example exactly.
