well im back 2 hours later, and no Logic 5.5.1 input.

well mmmmmmmmmmmmm

you never know, maybe the beta software might be just good enough for LOGIC 5.5.1.
I am personally not fussed about the audio intergration at all.
i just want that cool lookin and great sounding synth to create music with and just have a simple software editor.

if using just the TI software for sound editing and automation, that would do me fine. Maybe the beta version could be doing just that already perfectly.

Hasnt Ben Crosland already told you that everything works fine in 5.5.1????????????

I remember there being some discussion on this, as this was his sequencer of choice

yes jaseedee, he did say that sought of, but the operating system keeps upgrading. might change things.
do i sound paranoid???????????
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

its just that if one changes an update, i dont think you can go backwards.
and if a new update works less well then.............

put it this way. i have delta 1010 card and the 2nd latest driver for WINDOWS XP worked heaps better than the latest. and HEAPS better than the 3rd latest. god knows why.
Luckily in this case i could go back to the 2nd latest. and the 2nd latest is simply perfect for my setup. my system sounds just great. (if it works, dont change it - they say)

to make sure that i have it for a long time , i have 4 copies of the second latest, because if it is off the download section of M-AUDIO you cant get it becaus e it wont be supported.

my system has not crashed yet, although i guess not fully tested.

hey jaseseedee, notice my slight edit change in opening post in this topic

I guess the only thing you could do is to stay at the orginal OS, and not update.

Or....Jump ship to apple

I did and have never looked back

I know what you mean though. I have some software that is not supported anymore (TC Works SparkXL) and if I want to keep using it it means I cant upgrade my Apple OS!

You can re-install old OS builds if you wish.

Hey Ben Crosland,

well, now another question.

I am really not fussed about the audio USB bit as i have said before.

have you just used the VIRUS TI in Logic 5.5.1 as a patch editor librarian and used just the analog outs for the audio.

i guess that means the sequences would be on the audio instrument tracks and if i were to press RECORD on transport in LOGIC 5.5.1 i would record the sequence into an AUDIO track, like the good old days.

In this scenario is the LOGIC CONTROL faultless already in the beta version for the LOGIC AUDIO 5.5.1.

I infact would have lost interst in the TI if I couldnt get the complete HARDWARE SOUND with the warts and all, D/A output converters (as an option) , just to harden the sound.
i AM A NOT A MONSTER FOR NOTHING

does the good old hyper draw get ever used on LOGIC 5.5.1, with the TI

like all my other synths do for tweeking on the synth KNOBS.

is there only the automation in LOGIC audio instrument tracks option, for tweeking the keyboard knobs on the TI.

IF ONE doesnt use the VIRUS CONTROL, does the hyperdraw option still exist.

i dont mind just using the VIRUS CONTROL for purely patch editing.

Has this thread gone cold? Has anybody managed to get Logic 5 on Windows to recognise virus control at all?

hey mr orange,

i havent recieved my TI yet so i dont know how well its going to work.

ben crosland apparently is using it, so it must be okay.
i have noticed he has been so busy lately answering questions, i havent asked him anything for a while, but will hit him with a question soon.

just dont know how its coping with the bugs that people are reporting.

you never know, it might work the best on logic 5.5.1 which is what i use and dont want to change.
