Default Parameter control

Hi, first post here. I just picked up a rack XL and have been enjoying it quite a bit. Been reading through the manual to get a grip on things and am getting comfortable with the menus and knobs but I can't find much information about setting up a MIDI keyboard controller so that I can edit edit parameters with the knobs or sliders, except for the two soft knobs that are active in a patch (which already work). Is it possible to start with a basic wave shape and then set up the controller with each knob controlling things like filter cutoff, LFO settings, or whatever I wanted to assign? The editing process is getting a bit quicker now that I can remember where things are in the menus but it would be nice to have dedicated control when building my own sounds.

Great forum, by the way. Lots of good info.
