Blade Runner soundtrack by Vangelis pops to mind as a good one. The Exorcist Jack Nitzsche, Mike Oldfiled works well. All Kubrick film soundtracks are amazing. I liked the first BLADE soundtrack especially the Acid track that was played in the club it sounded amazing at the cinema.
Me and a m8 are just starting a business doing Audio for Image. I do 3D design and animation as a hobby and have done stuff for music and clubs before! Making music for animation is interesting. Is there any 3D artists , animators that use the Virus here?

Ive always been a big fan of music in films and how it effects the audience. The way music can create atmosphere, Horror and sci fi films in particular

Being fairly new to music production i can say i have tried yet or would know where to start.

But its deffinetly something im am planning to do in the future

Yep deffo. But I need to increase my understanding of musical theory first.

I go to classical concerts a lot and have noticed the number of 'parameters' acoustic instrumentalists have at their disposal. The subtle variations in timbre and their uses in affecting the feel of the playing are varied and striking.

The virus is a very flexible instrument and I believe a really good synth programmer should be able to produce patches with a wide range of nuance. I'm trying to work towards that myself, but alas, am really quite shit at programming patches!

My main genres are ambient and chill-out, so yeah, i do other genres with Virus than dance/trance/techno/ect. I don't usually do "beat music"...

Go flexibility!
