I count myself very fortunate and can play my gear quite loudly and not annoy the neighbours... just the wife...

I am the noisy neighbor too. I just started building my room within a room and am visiting www.johnlsayers.com to make sure I don't make any terrible mistakes. I rent, so I'm doing too much work for a temp space. I need to play late at night because I work during the day. It's going to be great to jam without the dreaded... BANG BANG BANG! on the wall.
WE ALL KNOW THE BANG BANG BANG HERE IN THIS THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be spending about as much as I spent on my last synth. Too much. I am cheating in a way though. I am only putting up a double sheeted drywall layer on the outside and the inside is going to be SUPER dead. 8" of R-30 insulation and a fabric frame on the inside. No parellels of course. I'll take some pics soon. My neighbors are going to love me soon I hope... as will me girlfriend. I can finally have friends over to mix cds late nights, after party jam sessions... soo many possiblities.

My hearing is really sensitive so I can't turn it up that much for too long.
Good news for my neighbours, but crap for me.
I was a bitch during my mid-late teens & very early 20's, though, drunken parties pretty much every friday or saturday. So it's prolly a karma thing.
Tell a lie, I left home at 18 to go to uni, so it was quiet for them for a few years. :lol
[edit]where's the smileys/graemlins gone?
