Default Using section lock without a computer ?

I heard and read about section lock. However all I saw about it makes use of Virus Control, ie a computer. As I am right now learning to use my TI2 desktop without a computer, is there a way to use (and understand) section lock without a computer ??

In fact, I did a search for "section lock" in the Virus Manual and it came out with nothing ...

What is section lock? Doesn't seem to be an Access Virus thing, so not surprised it's not in the manual.

Section Lock is a Virus feature, if I remember it was added in a later TI OS so many manuals may not mention it.

It allows you to 'lock' a characteristic of a patch, such as the envelopes, and then you can browse other patches while retaining those same envelope settings.

I believe it's one of the few features that are software-only (Virus Control), as opposed to being able to be used standalone via the hardware.

Ah, yes, now I remember something about it. Must be in one of the manual addendums.
