Default Factory Reset For Virus KC

OK...

So I downloaded all the cool sound sets from the Access site...
But now I have destroyed all of the origional factory presets!!!
What can I do to restore all the origional patches on my synth?

My Virus is in total disarray... I have tried to locate the origional sounds.
Yet the factory set up is not available for download, only expanded sets.

Is there a factory reset or a place to download the origional banks???

Default Reset

I have tried reset several times...

This will restore the global factory settings, but not the sounds.

Hmmmmm...

It worked on mine but I had not loaded any new banks to my KC yet.

Maybe someone else knows.

I freaked out after I mangled my banks the first time after trying to modify the sounds and the reset function did the trick.

Good luck, mate!

You can download the factory soundset from the Access Virus website. It's there somewhere.

Hey Previs - double post much?
I have deleted your post within the introduce yourself section...
If you ask once you will generally get a response here - there is no need to double post to attract attention to your thread
Good luck with your reset...

cheers

Sorry for the duplicate post... purely accidental.

The Access site does not have the origional sound set posted.
I have recieved a set from my friend with an Indigo 2, but I am getting issues with many of the patches. I thought the Indigo and the KC were interchangable with sounds and controlls. What gives?

I will try downloading the links listed, hopefully they will work.

I may correct this:

You'll find a file called ABM.mid which contains the factory presets for the RAM banks in all OS Update Archives. You can use these to restore the factory patches, as stated in the readme file of each update.

Using the file second.mid will restore all ROM patches.

Default Still Having Issues...

OK...

So I have dowloaded the proper files and opened them with Sound Diver.
When I open the file with Sound Diver, I can see the patches that I want to reinstall into my Virus KC.
Some files I can load, and some just give me wrong check sum or sysex with illegal path and appear in my Sound Diver Library as jumbled entries...

I just want to get my Virus back to the state it was in when I purchased it... long before I ever decided to experiment with Sound Diver!

Some one Please HELP Me!
