I think that's the Nokia model (Motorola at the time) which was called as brick. It was the very first cell phones that didn't need the huge "mother" case.

i use the truths coz i had to buy cheaper speakers that i wouldnt mind leaving in japan for when (now if) i go back to ausi! i still have mackie money put away (which im seriously thinking of spending at the moment, but thats another story)..

i listened to the alesis's and the truths with an MD of my own music (some of the music i took i knew worked on heaps of systems, and some i took i knew didnt work)...IMO the truths were easier to judge the mixes....the bass overwhelmed me with the alesis. i knew some of my mixes worked well on many sound systems, but on the alesis's i would have turned down the bass! thats what sold me really!

one thing i didnt realize with listening to the truths in the store though...they do get fatiguing a bit! need a break after a heavy session....

i think it depends on what you get used to too...many people like the bass pounding all the time when they mix...i dont really!

it means, after listening to the speakers for a long period of time (eg: 3 hours up) your ears find it more difficult to judge the sound. this in itself is ear fatigue....

for example...you have been mixing/making a new song for many hours in a row...u go to bed and the next day, the different tracks of the song arent sitting at all well in the mix....

better speakers make it easier to judge sound even after long, long mixing sessions.

there is an unwriten rule that first you should write the track and only the day after mix it beacuse after couple of hours your head and ears feels kind of havey from listening so much

tomer: thats' true, after listening to a track and trying to mix it just after making it, it feels boring and too bad. One or two days after, i find that energy back
