I can think of a few patches in the virus that are pretty damn close. Its not really hooverish, more of a really dirty, phat, tearing sort of lead sound. The Vengeance soundset should have plenty of good patches to use as starting points.

well i've had my virus for a week now and i can say with some authority the lead you seek is definitely a virus sound. it has that faux tube distortion feel to it.

on my ti there is a sound called BassSoupBC that comes incredibly close to the lead sound from candyman. and damn i love that song. the key 3 waves. 2 saw, 1 square. detuned and such. and probably overdiven afterwards for extra warmth and distortion. also virus really has that noisy high end that the lead has. AND THE VIRUS FILTERS. i have come to know this instrument well. i love it so much ^_^ so there u have it, 2 saws, 1 square, detune and tweak, probably distortion effect if you have it, mabye a bit of ring mod too, and highpass filter

Default quick attempt

It's been years since I heard that song...so I may be totally off
The delay is a bit off so are the osc settings, but I believe it might be a good starting point:
http://www.madstation.net/candyman.mp3

Basically 1 saw, 1 hypersaw + another saw one octave up as the 3rd osc, with a lot of unison, lots of delay, bandpass+highpass. I've set the patch to mono and used a bit of release so the notes blend in.

it's almost deadon except it's missing the subbass and the square wave to give it that tube amp feel
