Default Virus T1 61 Pitch Pot....wonkish..

Virus T1 61 Pitch Pot....wonkish..

I started having "tuning" issues with various synths...when the TI was controller. Overthinking, I was suspecting power supply... The Mod wheel I use all the time, it seems fine, but I confess to seldom using the pitch wheel.

That seems to be the problem. I am wanting to spray some CRC cleaner into the pot.

Do we have a repair manual before I just starting unscrewing randomly?

Any other suggestions apreciated.

Found this

It appears the wheels have their own cover.....(scroll to about 3/4 time)
true? Can I get to them without pulling the rest?

One other behavior: My TI 61 trips one of my surge protectors types:

The trip occurs in play or editing, infrequently, but often enough. Even when Virus is one of few devices attached.

Maybe I should replace my power supply after all LOL or it could be some aspect of the switched surge protector. Somewhere I have a meter to watch power draw on plugs. If I find it I'll see what it tells me.

Thanks

PS Firmware is "latest". For these tests I'm playing the TI alone, no USB, stereo out, no MIDI connected.
