What about Z3ta+, though? That's a graphical wavetable synth.

Z3ta makes it exceptionally easy to create and manipulate your own wavetables literally within seconds, and the dynamic sonic results and possibilities are simply *staggering*.

pardon my ignorance but how are the 64 different waves in the VIRUS C range produced? Isn't this a wavetable as well?

I guess it is, but they are not arranged in any kind of logical sequence, and the Virus can only switch between them - quite a cool effect in itself, but nowhere near as flexible as the Wavetable oscillator.

thanks for that Ben i love the sparkly kind of effect you can get by using a mod matrix to switch between the different waves, but get frustrated that i cant modulate it further . Having a oscillator attached to a wavetable sure sounds exciting now i understand the difference
