That helps no-one - totally disagree.
TI users including myself have been waiting for a fully stable OS for months now. I think the fact the TI was probably released prematurely makes Access's current position quite unique and therefore should not really be compared to another company's policy. I am certain that ID software have never released any full price software at an almost Beta stage that is still not fully working 4 months after release. Again this is a unique situation, which requires unique customer support/service.
Hopefully we will still have OS 1.10 by the end of February as there is still plenty of time for Access to release it. But if they are still having problems I am sure everyone would rather just be told March or April and have a fully working version rather than be told nothing.
Customer support are not confirming any release date at this moment in time. It would be reassuring to have a statement from Access. I am certain they are still lurking on this forum...

I agree with Ledge. A simple 'we are working on the next version, we have no idea when it will be ready' is definately the best way to go about this. Then when it is ready simply wack it on the website and whoop-de-do everyone.
Whats the point giving a statement if they just dont know? People will bitch either way... 'ooo you said it would be ready and its not now oooo' or if they say its been put back for whatever reason and will be out by another date which is also missed (similar to the release of the TI) people will go fucking awol.
The nature of this kind of patching is you can never be sure when something will be ready until its ready. Saying something will be ready by a certain date while its still in progress is plain lunancy (especially seeing how petty, whiney and non-understanding punters can be.) They might be just at the end of testing and find a major show stopper that puts them back weeks again.
I dont see what difference is if you knew when its going to be out or not? You have the choice of using your TI as it is right now or not, its that simple. Knowing when the next patch will be out isnt going to change that choice, and planning anything around a 'suggested' patch release date is just plain stupid.

Version 1.1 features an array of enhancements and new functionalities and will be available during February, 2006. Besides improved stability, there are two new browser functions ("Sort By Category" and "Search by Name") and the new Remote Mode to turn the Virus TI into a univeral midi control surface.

How does having a release date that may or may not be accurate help anyone?
All it seems to do is get everyone's panties in a bunch when they don't meet it.

A fully working decent stable OS would help at any date. Sooner rather than later being my point as I feel almost at the point of selling my TI. I am getting totally fucked off with my TI crashing on me and being out of sync. Having paid ?1400 for my TI - I am fully entitled to whinge and moan all I want!
Bring it on Access.
