It's weird innit, how a keyboard becomes the darling of those who've caught DJ-VD, just because they can dully emulate the worthless trance/dance/prance/mince tracks they love so much.

There's another thread on here somewhere "Choose your favourite DJ", I kid you not !
more like choose your favourite disease !!!!

Funny how mixing records together has become an art form, its a bit like making sandwiches becoming the new yoof movement, just imagine.

DJ Peckerhead is in full-effect just look how he slides the salami into the crazy dill......

The beauty of the Virus is NOT to use it to make dance music but to subvert the idiom and use it to make ANYTHING but dance music, that would be admirable.

LOL.

You've now obligated yourself to give a listen and decide for yourself what kind of music I compose.

Happy listening!

That was interesting, trance it ain't, but mellow electronica.
Thats what happens when you're an arrogant youth, judging books by covers etc.
I'll bet he was expecting Eric Clapton radio-friendly M.O.R or something.

Pleasantly surprised I was !

Constructive criticism:
Some great ideas, and some excellent solo melodies etc, but it does sound a lot like a demo for the instrument(s)
I wonder if you are making these as pieces of music or you are interested in song structure etc.
If you were to work with a lyricist or an acoustic musician, what would happen to the structure/composition I wonder.

But gladly, the cover does the book no justice.

Interesting you should say this.... It's an insightful observation.

For quite a few years I did freelance work creating demos for instrument manufacturers. For example, I created lots of original MIDI files for Yamaha to use when launching their XG synths and soundcards back in the 90's. AMD hired me (along with Thomas Dolby, Jan Hammer, Keith Emerson, etc.) to create demos for the launch of a new wavetable chip for soundcards. I also created music to demonstrate the musical capabilities of WebTV's set-top box, and Creative Labs used my music at tradeshows (like Comdex) to demonstrate their soundcards.

I guess all of that "demo" work has influenced me.... Now I am just a guy at home who likes to try and make "cool sounding stuff" with my synths, and I guess I am still making product demos.

But thanks for your observations and kind words.
