That's an interesting suggestion. I think I may try this with my echo layla s/pdif. Just curious, what is the bit depth/sample rate that you can get using s/pdif and also, are you using the analog outs of your ti in conjuction with using the s/pdif connection?

I believe the s/pdif is 24bit up to 96KHz. I was using all analog with delays in my Creamware scope environment to time align VST audio with TI audio. Then because of timing and note hanging I was soling and capturing TI tracks one at a time. Sometimes Analog - then hand editing waves for timing drifts then some with s/pdif, and by the end I was getting some sample accurate tracks.
