Default Mod Wheel/Multi Mode/Part Change

Hey Everyone,

First time poster.

Any who,

I was wondering if, when in MultiMode, that you can assign the Mod Wheel to transition between parts.

Example:

OverturreCK is on PART 1 Midi 1
GlasseySV is on PART 2 Midi 1

When the mod wheel is down, Overture is playing. When gradually raised the sound will be GlasseySV.

Anyone???

I'm actually embarassed to say I've never used my Virus in multi-mode (albeit that it's an Indigo [B-series] with less overall poly), so unfortunately I can't advise.

Hope someone will chip in here.

Thanks Timo for a response and the honesty. lol.

Ok, so im playing around with assigning "Patch Volume" to the Mod Wheel

PART 1 "Patch Volume" -64 Works at full volume when the Mod wheel is all the way down

PART 2 "Patch Volume" +64 Should, in theory, play at full volume when the mod wheel is all the way up. However, PART 2 seems to not be responding like Part 1 is. Part 2 seems to be playing regardless of mod wheel position even though Ive clearly defined it not to play whilst the Mod Wheel is -64.

What am I missing and is there another way to achieve the results im looking for.

Question answered.

Part 2's Main volume needs to be set to Zero first before appling a +64 range to a Mod.

Thanks

Thanks for the update, and an interesting note to bear in mind.

I think there's a lot of fun to be had in knowing what you want, sound-wise, and trying to execute it in practice, or to find little hacks or workarounds to get what you want. You end up learning a great deal.

On Korg's MOSS (analogue modelling) system on their workstations for example, I wanted to emulate the characteristic FM-noise modulation technique (easily dialed-in on the Virus) used to create those modern buzzy/fizzy type dance tones, but I couldn't do it directly (using noise as an FM modulation source) like you can on the Virus. After much head-scratching I found a way, and it ended up opening up a whole new creative and sonic avenue to explore. http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpB...ic.php?t=15583

But I digress...

Cheers
