Question Virus TI Snow - Problem with some sounds banks in the Virus Control Browser

Hello all,

I'am a new user of the famous Virus TI Snow (My first Virus )

Yesterday I dowloaded some Free sounds banks, but when I put it on the correct folder (Mydocuments\Access Music\....\Patch) I can't see all sounds banks in the Virus Control's Browser.
For example, i can't see the great sound bank "Vengeance Virus TI Factory Bank"
http://www.vengeance-sound.com/eng/i...reeSounds.html

Du you have the same problem? (this question is only for the Virus TI Snow users)

Thank

All the sounds bank are unziped, I put directly the midi file in the "patchs" folder.
I can see some sounds banks in the Virus Control Browser, but this one (and some others) i can't see it and i don't know why?

I have seen that, it only with soundbank with more 1024 sounds or more 60 Ko, so as the Snow have 512 Mo it can't load these soundsbank.

Maybe it's the answer.

no it's not because it has nothing to do with it ... you can see as many banks as you wish. but maybe you are trying to throw in SMF1 files which virus control does not read?

Default step-by-step :)

just click in the Virus Control *BROWSER* on the pulldown arrow and then on the menu-popup that appears on *Personal Libraries* ... there they should appear.

even the left/right buttons loop through all RAM + ROM banks, as well as all the MIDI files contained in the personal library.

if it not appear there, it's most likely an incompatible or damaged file.

but that bank you posted is even labelled as TI ... so compability shouldn't be the problem.

even downloaded it and tried and could not reproduce the problem.

don't have a TI Snow and this bank should be in ROM already (MS signature).

not sure if there is any difference with the Snow's Virus Control compared to the "regular" one.

a possible workaround would be: to take another Virus TI and split it up - into 2 parts, each with 512 patches.

if it's like you wrote ... the problem should be with patch-management of the Snow's Virus Control.
