Default New headphones: Shure SRH840 or AKG AKG K 271 MKII Studio

I own Senheisser HD280pro, but I'm not happy with them I must say,

Looking for something new I'm trying to compare the two above mentioned headhpones, does anyone have experience with them?

The Shure is abit more expensive and I believe the frequency range of the Shure SRH840 is better than the AKG, also the Shure are abit more heavier (about 70 grams). Both receive very good reviews... anyone of you pro's can give me an advice on which one to buy?

I have tha AKG Studio mk1's. They are brilliant, but you can't go wrong with either.

I`d go for the AKG Studio mk1`s, AKG is awesome when it comes to headsets, Clear and punchy

Apart to the discussion, which was best: You all should try one of these silent head phones with sound suppression. It is perfect for composing and mixing in noisy environments.
