Default Are there problems with the Virus C KB?

I have a few questions. First of I have tons of softwatr synths that absolutely amazing. Do I really need a hardware piece? I had a Virus when it first came out but is it really needed anymore?

Secondly I use my XP-50 as my controller. I was thinking of selling it for a Virus C KB (only way I can justify buying one with all my software synths).
I use Cubase SX2 as my sequncer will the the Virus B sounds be the same as the C's? Because in cubase it only has particualr modules for midi already created and the Virus B is one.
thanks

People have been saying how well the KC keyboard is. It might feel better than your current keyboard. The KC is a beast in itself. It is really up to you. Some people would say a Virus is better than software. It depends on whether your sound card has as much dsp power as a Virus.

i agree with uden on this one...the software is coming along for sure, but i havent heard much that comes close to the VC

one thing in addition though..about the VB vs. the VC...there are a few differences with make the C sound different to the B now...filters for one!

good luck with the choices!

Don't sell the XP50 - you'll be sorry as no sf can give you the acoustic sounds of Roland. Get the C desktop instead.

Hi

I have the Virus KC and its an excellant synth. I had some problems with the first 4 (mainly cosmetic). At the moment I have 2 probs.......one of the keys has become very 'clicky' and the other is a software related issue I guess. If I leave the Virus on for more than 10 hours......the arpegiator goes fuking mental.

Other than that....its pretty much perfect.

*I made a great dx bass patch today....really good.

Be careful before you buy a kc!

I got mine 1 year and 1 month ago and it's totally out of order.
The shop can't even repair it!

It's a problem with the power supply, but since the KC is the only model with an INTERNAL one(+ its VERY close to the main processor the technician told me), they can't take the risk to repair it.

No.

Shit happens and some Viruses have faults which occure after few months of use. With three years of trouble free operation there's no reason to worry.
