Default When real-life is sci-fi.

John Carpenter, master of horror movies (and legendary 80's soundtracks) pulled off an incredible sci-fi event in real life that nobody ever talks about.

In the mid 1980s, he built a real, working time machine, traveled 50 years into the future, and teleported a geriatric Adam Sandler into 1985 (who was a teenager at the time), and created a music video with Adam on keyboard / vocals to document the experience:

Sadly the song recorded received such negative criticism, that the bad press overshadowed the invention of the time machine and Carpenter was never credited.

Not surprised at the critique...it is truly awful.

Ok, the music is horrible, but the guy who wrote the piano hook from Halloween is entitled to a crappy pop song or two. lol

You gotta admit the Adam Sandler doppleganger is a dead ringer!

I agree, the music is pretty bad. But I'm a huge Carpenter admirer. That man was ahead of his time with his cinematography.

And the fact he did a lot of the soundtrack work for his own films.
