Got it installed. Upon loading Virus TI Snow VC, 'synching memory with virus' screen appears. Never seen that one before. It says on the screen "initializing virus ti and syncing memory. this might take a couple of seconds." but it took 3-4 mins. Is this normal? GUI slowness is still there. Seems to work fine other than those.

This is normal but should only happen once after you have installed a new version of the OS. A wonder that you've never noticed that before!?!
