Default deep house dub techno stabs and lush pads

Made a nice'ish deep house / dub techno stab sound today on the ti out of the int patch + virb delay and filtering etc.

Still not as rich, warm and lush as some of the other stuff I hear but not bad for first attempt.

Can any one put thier finger on a few preset names that I could have a look at to see what I might be able to add? or tips on sound design?

And I still suck at making lush pads, any tutorials kicking around?

Cheers

I highly recommend the bootcamp series on Virus's website. Sadly, I haven't gotten to go through all of them. I consider myself pretty adept at synthesis and there are tons of things in the first video that I'd never even considered. Mandatory!

Remedial pointer: I've had a lot better luck w 2pole filters ala Oberheim than the steeper 4poles for thicker pads. Usually lower reso.
