Default TI fx plug cubendo question??

Ok so I stumbled across a tutorial vid on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u54CC...eature=related

Now, I have a TI mk1 and have been quite happily using it with cubase for several years but have never been aware of an fx plug function.

Have I been wasting my life, or is this only available on mk2's???

Youve always been able to use the TI for external FX for guitar, other synths, filters etc.
