The best way to make any sound is to look for a sound that is the type you wan?t to have and analyze it. Then make your own one.
There is already many topics about bass sounds in the sound designing section. Just use the search function.

No! That's a mistake! Never use sine waves for deep basses because human ear constructs the base frequency by the upper harmonics. Use triangles instead. If you have a very deep sine wave you won't hear the tone at all, you just feel it. But if you have a very deep triangle wave you'll hear the rumble and can determine the frequency.

The pulse wave makes good basses too. There are a million and one way to make a bass sound. You could include a sine wave as one osc. You close the cutoff and it smooths out.
