Default New Virus KC... issues

OK,

I just recieved my Virus KC yesterday, a couple of minor issues...

Distribution- it took almost 8 weeks to arrive.

Packaging- the synth was loosly packed w/ 2 foam inserts.

AC adapter- a proprietory cable and a very thin gauge.

...and the Ends of the Synth are specified to be wood,
yet are plastic/rubber.

... But I must finally summarise by saying that this is with out a doubt,
THE BEST SYNTH I have ever owned.

From ARP to Yamaha this is hands down the most versatile synth!

Even if the wooden side panels were made from dried pressed shit, I would still enjoy playing my VC.

OK this may be a little bit of an exageration.

Welcome to the forum by the way!

-> The AC adapter has an IEEE standard plug, and you can indeed find replacements should anything go wrong.

-> The ends ARE wooden, but have this very nice paint/protection over them to make them seem otherwise.

The side panels of the Virus are real wood.....I know this for a fact because if you set fire to them....u get a nice aromatic horse chestnut kinda smell.

heheheheh

1) Bastard distributors. You should hear my story......itll make you feel better!

2) Internal packaging can sometimes fail. Its unfortunate....but it happens

3) Dont worry about the PSU and Chord. After a couple of weeks, you should find that you no longer need power to operate the synth.

4) No. The end cheeks are definitely wood.....albeit mushed up chipboard style. LOvely smell when it burns...might even be the glue they use. The plastic/rubberised coating helps protect the wood from arsonists.

But in all seriousness youve had a few set backs that may have robbed you of the initial magic of getting your Virus. To put it into context Ive got through 5 KC's largely due to the fault of the distributor not taking due care and attention. I had to wait 1 year before I had a VIrus that I could call my own.......but even still, after all that poo.......I sit down beside 'Candy' and turn her on and play with her for hours every day. There must be something special about the Virus that makes me do that.......b'cos im very hard to please. Just read some of my posts!

Enjoy your Virus and welcome to the forum

BTW im a little mad :P and im studying psychology at uni in order to 'find myself' hehehehehehe
