Default Snow -> TI Desktop/Polar

Hi Gents,

It's looking like I'll need to upgrade from the Snow to a TI2 Desktop or Polar, has anyone done this recently and can comment on the increase in processing power? Based on the current music I'm trying to create, I'll need at least 8-10 voices, plus a few of them will be hogging a lot of CPU.

Cheers,

EG

I have a Snow and recently bought a TI2 as well. It has quite a bit more power. I used to max out on voices with the Snow every now and again, but I have had no issues with the TI2.

If all goes to plan, I should be getting a TI Keyboard, next week, so, no more polyphony issues! (And I'll keep the Snow, so I can use both!)

Default TI acquired!

I'm now the proud owner of a Virus TI Keyboard model! It came with a bunch of after-market sound sets, for Trance and EDM, so I've got plenty more sounds to work with! Have done a few comparisons to the Snow and it does sound pretty identical, but the better keyboard (to my old Korg K61) does make playing things a lot nicer.

Had a lot of fun getting it talking to my new laptop, but that was more because it's 64-bit and I had to install different versions of the Access software and Ableton Live. Couldn't see the plugins in Live for a while, then I realised I was looking at the folder containing the 32-bit versions. DOH!

Cheers,

EG
