Smile Playback latency problem, should be easy to fix

hello everyone nice to meet you
just a quick question in case somebody is able to help
got the TI Snow few days ago and been having loads of fun up to the point i tried to play the midi files i recorded...

unfortunately all the midi notes are out of sync with the rest of the track, looks like its a latency problem but i can't find any fix...

any ideas? i've updated to the latest virus ti control version but nothing changed..

thank in advance!

Its probably not the TI, most likely its something that can be fixed easily in your daw or soundcard latency options. Do you use any other hardware?

The other hardware i got at the moment is only an Edirol PCR 800 and my soundcard, M-Audio Audiophile 192. Any suggestions?

could be added latency introduced by any plug-ins in the project that require lookahead. brickwall limiters tend to be likely culprits in such cases. try copying the recorded midi parts to a new blank project with no other plug-ins loaded. if the problem persists, it could be a problem with the DAW audio latency settings/latency compensation, as mentioned by ShortBus. hope that helps. cheers, paul.
