Default To metronome or Not.

Do you guys listen to the metronome while your producing?

i do when i record the first track/line (usually drums)....everything after that the metro is off...

never use it because i always edit the notes anyway....

I find myself a nice juicy breakbeat. Much more fun to compose over than a metronome!

It would drive me mad if I'd keep metronome ticking all the time. I use it only for recording. No reason to keep it permanently on. I think the sequencer can keep time without ticking. It's not a drummer!

I listen to it for a bit after I've recorded a track, just let the sequence run with the metronome to make sure the timing all checks out, then I switch it off and add some drums

Thanks for the replies..

Yea i havent been listening to it to record, and im trying to get the quantizing right.. kinda tricky using sonar2 and audio and midi tracks.

I need more time with my studio
Here is something i whipped up, to test my Virus sounds..

Does it sound too low? And how off-beat is it
