Default hi.. tough virus decision... need your help

hello
im an electronic musician.im pretty set bout gettin the virus.
i know theres already a question bout this but im still not convinced.....
i dont know which one to pick..its a call between the virus c or the rack xl..i have a midi keyboard so no need for that
i see theres a difference in the knobs.does that mean no tweaking for the rack? is the rack midi controlled?
what is the price differnce? is it that big?
please tell me bout more of the differences...
thanks in advance...

If you can afford it, just buy the Virus C desktop version . The more knobs, the better. You have instant access at the most important parameters (like filter settings, osscilators). The rack module uses the same sound engine but it has only a few knobs, so you always have to use some sort of menu to select a group of parameters before you can change them. There is also SoundDiver which gives you an overall view of a patch.

Hope this helps?

Only the Virus C Rack XL uses the same sound engine as the other C's. DO NOT BUY A RACK CLASSIC ! Take a look at the following comparion chart: http://www.virus.info/comparisonchart.php4. It shows you al the different models. I don't understand your second question.
