I have a Cubase SX3 project that uses at most 14 voices at the same time of the Virus TI, if you umute parts one at a time you will notice that when you have unmuted the last two parts - the bassdrum (wich is part 3) dissapears.

Meaning that the bassdrum voices gets stealed by the pads & the leads.
Meaning that in no way in hell do this synth has 80 voices.
This is just what I asked in another thread earlier and said that you probably have only 16 voices of polyphony when using many parts with their own reverbs and hypersaw etc. I guess nobody believed me. So it is true. You're the first one who has the courage to say it.

The manual says that reverbs need dsp and you should turn them off if you want more polyphony but the manual don't say how much it needs dsp. I guess we know now.

Thanks for the info.

I just recieved my Virus TI Polar approximately 3 days ago. My Virus is from the second batch. I have no problems with it so far. I am crossing my fingers and hoping my luck continues. I am using Sonar 5 Producer with a PC that is 64 bit Dual Core.

My Desktop is running great, the only problem I have is the virus crashing with or without that apocalyptic sound. That happens quite rarely. I use it mainly as a live and performance instrument together with my Kurzweil PC2. I love this synth

So far it seems to operate fine withing Logic 7.1.1 . Running Dual G5 1.8 10.4.3 Updated firmware recently and running 1.07

Seems a bit sluggish to respond to patch changes from withing logic. Recording and playback of midi data works fine.

Still having problems with Polar even after 1.07 and clean WinXp SP2 install:

- odd hanging/dropped notes
- odd crash with buzzing
- audi mixdown timing in Cubase SL3.1.1 is still out.
