Default Had a test drive on a Ti today

Went down to Soundcontrol and discovered they have a new batch of Ti's in. I had a go on one and I'm very impressed. The first thing that struck me was how much easier it is to find your way around the menus than on the Virus C. The wavetable stuff was particularly good, in comparison to my Microwave XT the wavetables are very smooth and have a "sophisticated" quality to them - whereas the XT is more harsh and gritty. A guy on another post said the Ti was not that much different to the C but I'd have to disagree, yes it has the trademark Access sound but it is capable of a lot more than the C if you delve into it.

Verdict: Every home should have one. I'm off to explain this to my bank manager........

By the way, BC has done a good job on his patches too.

alot of people say its easier to navigate menus :\

the funny thing is, im so used to the menu system on the virus b and the control surface that it would just confuse me if some feature wasnt where i thought it was. i like my virus the way it is

anything else is like a rabble of drunkeds bruising the hedges next to the gazebo! titter! its not right i tell you!

Lucky sod, it's going to be a couple of weeks before I have enough balloons for one.

PS: I like the few rogue white LEDs that are thrown in too (I'm easily pleased).

Arrrggghhh went back to Soundcontrol for another play on the Ti and it kept crashing. The OS would freeze up and the note would still keep playing and only a reboot could rectify it. It was OS 1.0 beta though so that may explain something. I asked the sales guy if he could upgrade the OS and I'll have another look. You wouldn't want to have to reboot your Virus in mid-flow on stage would you?

Sounds excellent though.

That certainly would explain something. The updated O/S should fix those sorts of issues no problem.
