Buying Second Handed Virus C tips?

(Hey i'm new ;D)
I'm buying a second handed virus c this saturday since the TI is too expensive, and they don't sell the C in stores anymore. Basically, should i look for certain faults? I've heard that there are some stuff you should look out for on a second handed virus. Like, cutoff knobs not working properly. ( Altough that would be obvious).
So as a future Virus owner, do you have any tips for me in general? It will be my first hardware synth. But it's not that much different from any VST right?

there are lots of vst´s which want to sound like a virus, i tested all of them, the only one which comes a bit close is z3ta+, but to my opinion nothing sounds like a virus except the virus
