there are other crazy thing going on in eBay as of late.

anyone see it?

there are 2 Virus B desktops listed for $1000 and a C desktop listed for $1000+

wacky!

yep, noticed that some are going extra cheap on Japan though! and the Virus B must be the second hand market best bang for buck there is out there!

I got a virus B in mint condition for $480 years ago & a $1000 for a C is about the going price for one in mint condition. I only paid $1500 for my TI over 5-6 years ago so I reckon you could probably pick up one for a lot less now.

You could sand down the front panel and re-do it with spraypaints or silkscreening. Current looks wouldn't bother me so much since I've done silkscreened panels before. I'd be more concerned that it smells burnt or that the pots are scratchy due to smoke damage.
