On an expensive patch that has never had problems in all previous OS3 betas,
I got a very unpleasant static crash distortion sound as all the LEDS unanimously started failing, all of this while I was using brand new headphones. how lovely.

Computer type, computer OS version, DAW.......? Remember it's a beta so info like this doesn't help much unless Access gets your system details when there's an issue!

Do you remember which patch it was, and what you were doing when it happened (changing parameters, etc)? I am sure this would be helpful information for Access. Details baby, details!

Details baby? Ok. I use my TI2 Desktop only as a standalone unit. The point is not the patch itself, because it has been completely OK throughout the previous betas. I guess the point is these betas still aren't 100% stable - I mean, what the heck is sudden dimming of all LEDs and that a loud crash through the headphones? (But yes, it is a beta, I understand.)

Of course, after rebooting, I jammed on as many notes as possible on said patch, and could not reproduce the mishap. These are tiny minute 'malfunctions' I know - so small, I don't even wanna bother the help desk at this point. Please remember: I'm not just writing this stuff to pick on anyone. I'm writing because we all really did purchase these units, and we really ARE getting errors here and there. ...And that sharp pain in my ear really did hurt.

Installed 3.0.1.12 without any problems at all on my TI Desktop.

Works like a charm also in combination with my Mac G4 and Ableton.

I did 2 attempts. 1st changing sounds with the mouse during play and 2nd changing sounds with the cusror keys. Both crashes on the first attempts.

First I got a synchronisation is lost, stop the sequencer etc error. When I stop the sequenser there is a loud squeezing noize coming out of the virus and it is dead after. I have to reboot again.

It happens during changing sounds from the "user library" and sounds in the virus itself, both selecting in VC

B.t.w. It's the Virus Ti itself that crashes, not VC or sequenser

WinXPsp3, SX3, Ti Desktop

br
can you please send me the content of your user library in a private message? i have the suspicion that it is a combination of sounds which make your virus crash and i would like to have a look.

thanks, marc
