Default <--- New to the forum.. Where can I get patches?

Hello everyone,

My name's Doug and I'm new to this forum.

I from the Bay Area, California (USA) and I produce drum n bass music.

I just purchased a Virus Classic desktop synth a month ago and I was interested in where I could get some nice patches for the synth (aside from the ones that Access is offerring on their website). I was interested mainly in good sound effects.

I love this synthesizer very much by the way. For what I paid ($999), I'm very happy with what the Classic does. I wish that I had an extra $400 to get the Virus C desktop though, but being a starving student, I can't complain.

Well, thanks for reading this.

Doug

welcome to the forum koncept! and congrats for your purchase! u made a good choice!

as far as patches go, why don't u program your own? thats what the virus is made for
if u really need ready-to-use patches, then check Manuel Schleiss banks at http://www.vengeance-music.de

but they are more trancy patches than dnb!

Welcome!

Must say I would agree with Hatembr, start with a factory patch (or init) that is close to what you want, and start-a-tweakin'......

It'll be sunrise before you know it!

Default thanks for the response

yeah,

i'm a complete newbie when it comes to creating my own patches.

programming the sounds is a lot harder than i imagined it to be.

i am reading The Computer Music Tutorial by Curtis Roads and hopefully that'll help me.

Thanks for the link.

Peace!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Many people are probably not keen to give away their patches so much - specially if they are making the patches for their own music as most of us seem to be here.

My advice would be download the drum and bass sound sets and then pull those patches appart.

I'm sure when you do have questions about programming, many people here will be more than happy to help.

See ya round the forum.
