looks like back to saving for a TI desktop for me:
$1350 is too high for half the DSP engine, and only 4 parts.

Hatembr! Haven't seen that name for a while. Hope you're doing alright!

As for pricing, in the UK here Digital Village have got it up for pre-orders @ £829, which is £370 less than the £1199 desktop TI.

Supposed shipping: March.

I don't think a TI Mk2 will be around for quite some time now (grrr), given that Access released a 2008 catalogue along with the Snow, showcasing all the TI range. Actually that might be a good thing, no rushed release like they did with the original TI.
Mk2 should be quality.

Glad to see access didn't go and release a new beast of a synth. Just got the Ti a couple of months a go and I'd hate to have to get a new one any time soon.
However, this "toy" costs almost as much as a second hand Ti..

yeah, $1250us is definitely a little too expensive for this. I was expecting it to be in the $799 to $899 range.

Streaming video from SonicState @ Namm.

http://www.sonicstate.com/news/shownews.cfm?newsid=5967

Direct video link: [Virus TI Snow - 25.6mb WMV]

Still streaming it, but the Snow appears larger than I initially thought it was!

Regards the price, I feel exactly the same. However, looking at it from another angle, I think the Snow will really come to its own and stand its ground when a TI mk2 arrives, and the Snow drops in price a touch. It'll be almost like a TI "classic", but portable, as well as being ideal for the soft-synth generation.

A very neat commercial move (future investment) on Access' behalf, I think. (And neatly clears the way for an Mk2. )

What Ti mk2?
Is there any official statement on that or is it just wishfull thinking?
Personally, I doubt that any kind of Ti successor (IF it's planned) will be coming out any time soon.

Well, seeing as Access have released a glossy 2008 catalogue/brochure showcasing the TI, TI kb, Polar and Snow, and given that they will add the Atomizer and upgrade the TI OS to v2.7, which will appeal to a whole new raft of buyers, that will keep them going for a while methinks. It'll probably be another year now until an Mk2 arrives. (Drat!)

But, really, I have to commend Access. Given that they messed up the initial launch of the TI, they've really taken the TI to a whole new level for their customers.

Hi Dark, there are lots and lots of really great dance patches available (for free) on Access' site: http://www.access-music.de/support.php4

Or if you are looking for patches to buy, then the Vengeance sets are pretty good:

http://www.vengeance-sound.de/eng/in...dexSounds.html

or probably Sounds of Revolution:

http://www.sounds-of-revolution.com/sounds_e.html

or similar.
