Thumbs up Virus TI versus Reasons Thor

Did an A/B and was happy to say that even with a good soundcard (Audiophile 192) the softsynth sounded thin and empty relative to the TI. The sounds from the Virus definitely had more weight....

Even said, Thor is a sonic beast and Dream of a hardware version. One day Reason might have an audio input and the instruments might be real plugins that are seperate from its host. And the matrix pattern seq will send realtime midi to the virus instead of having to export to live first. Redrum is still my fav. drum sequencer.

Reason is powerful! But using NNXT for audio was getting tedious

Thats it real downfall, the vocoder is one of the best ive used but without live input its a pain.Speaking of vocoder has anyone come up with any good vocoder patches 4 the Virus. Thick and Digital not thin and toyish.

Malstrom is my favorite. Much simpler than Thor, but a wavy gravy dream.

The Virus vocoder didn't impress me one bit especially when you compare it to something as powerful as the V-synth GT
But, seriously, I've found smaller plugin Vocoders to be better...

The Micro Korg was good for it's time. I remember toying with it years ago and it was fun. I had no clue to what synthesizers were back then The XL definitely looks like a serious beast! Love those big knobs
