I think your right. I recently tried to get something similar to these sounds and the closest i got was bass guitar samples from my Fantom X. Maybe some processing on a bass guitar will do the trick

Only the last song has a bass guitar, what about the five song before that bro? Anyway, I'm almost positive theres a deep sub bass syth playing over the (bass?) guitar. I could process my bass through my T.I. all day and not get anything nearly as thick FAT and clean.

i would try processing your bass thru some amp modeling software,
the virus cant realy do much processing besides reverb,delay,corus,phaser,ring mod,filtering.
hmm thinking about it thats a whole lot!
anyway i would recommend this:

Bass guitar->amp modeling->virus TI filters.

Which synth of yours do you think does it best? and can you give a ruff aproximation on how to build this sound?
