Default Virus Control Outputs

Got my virus ti keyboard and it is the bee's bollox!!!!

one question though, whats the situation with virus control outputs, is there only 2? (well 4 mono)

I would like to be able to apply cubase EQ and fx to each of the 16 channels but looks like I've only 2 outs????

Is this possible, how do you do it?

The Virus TI control only has 2 stereo outs over USB.

You can not add eq or FX as mentioned over the full 16 channels.

You can record your part as audio, then do it that way.

Quite a few people do the above.

Thanks...

ok i'll just have to real time record the audio then.

when in ti mode, why cant I use the hardware controls to tweak whatever i'm doing, I have to do it all on screen, which is not what I bought the ti for.

surely I can move the cutoff and it will move the ti on screen as well????

I am doing something wrong

Do you mean when you are using Virus Control(Vst)?

Turn on TI, load Cubase. Go to VST Instuments(F11) and choose Access, Virus TI.

This then loads Virus Control. Choose a patch from the list and use the cutoff or res knob on the hardware unit and it should move on the GUI of Virus Control.

Hope this helps

mrvinyl,

Yes you will have to record your tracks from the Ti into audio then process further in Cubase. But take note that when you use the Ti in VC mode you have two stereo output busses on the bottom of Cubase/Nuendo. Its called VT1 and VT2. You can add effects or whatever you want to either busses and get a better idea of how you want to mix your track.

For example you can put all basses on VT1 and have a certain effect on that and use all other sounds on VT2 with a completely different set of dynamics on that as well. Then simply record that bad boy into Cubase/Nuendo and process the hell out of it further

Now as for you using the hardware controls of the Ti. Go ahead. Whatever you do on the hardware is synched to the computer. So which ever way you choose to tweak being VC or the hardware....it doesnt matter. Do what feels right.

May the force be with you.

Hope this helps
