Default Noob Questions :)

I am absolutely made up I have just recieved my access virus b - now - I need to ask a couple of questions.

a) any recommendations for midi controllers - which ones do you use? I would really like to send arp signals from the keyboard via midi.

b) anyone with experience hooking up the virus to an electribe (mx)? Can I have the programmed to play different sounds for different parts? Do I need to set up seperate midi channels?

I've played around with the sounds and cant believe some of the stuff I've been getting out of it... I think I really need to get hold of a manual.

All a bit overwhelming for me at the moment :/

Thanks

I prefer the Remote SL series. The screen really helps you remember what knobs do what. With my other midi controllers I would always have to label with tape and when I used with another synth or plugin the labels didnt mach up.

Before my cylinder head royally f**ked itself and I spent 2k fixing my car, a Novation SL MK2 49 key was my next purchase to go along with Alchemy - really not feeling it having to move the mouse for filters and snapshots etc.

The Remote SL seems a little more in my price range - does it have a midi arpeggiator on that?

Im trying to use it with the virus b in our live performance.

looking at the first 1 - is the mark 2 significantly better - is it compatible with pro tools? I just use hardware live you see so I'm not that fussed about using it for vst's.

thanks
