Default "BombTrax", "LdStrngz", "SuprNova" - where do those sounds come from?

Hello,
I got second-hand Virus C. It was preloaded with some third party's soundbanks. I have to reinstall OS, but I don't know where those soundbanks come from. I mean, soundbank name. As example first 10 in bank A are patches named as listed here:
BombTrax
LdStrngz
SuprNova
BombTrax
KraftLd2
Dscotheq
LostInT.
Angels
Grgorian
SciFiChr
ChordMe

etc etc..

I would like to put up those patches after OS reinstall, that's why I need to know name of the soundbank they come from. So please for your help.

Thanx in advance

I think it's the vengeance free soundset on the access website.

Why dont you just export the soundbank as a midi file and reload it ?

thanks for answer
Yes, I did, but Sounddiver can't open file which has exported minute ago (error & crash). So I'm not sure how to export anything from Virus. Despite of crasing - Soundiver crashes every 10-15 minutes and I have no feeling that I can rely on this crap.

i think sounddiver, at it is today is nothing anybody would recommend. there is no support for this application from apple's side (it is build on code back from the emagic days). it is unpredictable under which circumstances it might work - keeping in mind that it is an application back from the windows 98 / mac os 9 days (the mac os x beta version never got officially qualified as a release and will very certainly not behave great under os x 10.3 and higher).

best, marc

Just FYI, on my new Snow a patch called "Bombtrax" suffixed with the sound designer's initials is included in the default patches that ship with it. I'll have a look for the others when I get a chance.

A wild stab in the dark guess is that the Supernova sound is a copy of the thick novation supernova synth pad sounds - which it is quite close to
