Default OH MAN, i think I may have bricked my Virus TI

after problem after problem with this thing, now it seems EVEN AFTER A COMPLETE reformat of my mac, I am unable to go back to OS 2.5.1, upon installation of the virus software, when it goes to update to the same os on the virus (2.7.046 is on it now), the mac cant even communicate with my virus.... Is there ANY way to completely reset, and also restore the factory OS to the virus??

this thing is beyond me at this point.

EDIT: well, got it to see the virus by simply switching the USB ports (keep in mind they tell us NOT to do this!!). annoying

hey seantyas. Have you tried to connect your virus to a other computer? maybe a regular pc will recognize the virus so you at least can downgrade it to 2.5.1. I don't know if the windows installer has the same contents as the mac installers but at least you can try. It's just a suggestion you know....

Default a possibility

what kind of USB cable are you using?

... there is two different kinds:

- cheap ones, which behave like an antenna (they most likely will cause communication problems)

- and not that cheap ones, shielded with a ferrit core at one end of the cable (should work fine, since the ferrit core prevents the radio interference)
