Default Recreating this Yamaha sound with the TI? (screenshots inside!)

Hi,

could someone please help me to recreate this Yamaha sound with the Virus TI?
Maybe someone could "translate" the settings to Virus names?
Thank you!

Errm, why don't you post a sample? It's a bit difficult to imagine what it sounds like just by looking at the screenshot

Close ? It's spot on bar some EQ to filter the low end.

I didn't save the sound as I knocked it up in a few seconds before I shot off to work. It's exactly how I stated earlier.

Get a -Init- patch, change osc 1 to a square wave, change osc 2 to a sine wave and lower it down by 1x octave (12 semitones) , turn the portamento to around 30-40ish and turn on a distortion to your taste.

That is it, nothing else was touched apart from I turned the delay on for the recording.

[edit]

Looking at the screen grabs , it appears they've used ring modulation instead of distortion.

id bring in a little bit of noise color as well, the original sample has a bit of hiss to it.

Thank you for explaining but somehow I can not get the job done.. (I know, I am a noob..sorry)

This is what I did:
TI OSC PAGE
TI FX1 PAGE

Here's the TI midi patch file:
http://www.speedyshare.com/files/267...quare_test.mid

And this is how it sounds:
http://www.speedyshare.com/files/26766281/test1.mp3

Somehow it wont sound like the original sound..
What am I doing wrong here?

try some mid EQ boost on your mixer (or even virus), sweep it until you get the correct tone.
