Default have any of you guys noticed this ???

the classic delay has an issue....simple delay, clocked

have u tried to play a single note to hear the different delay times ???
like just a beep or a short sound?

everything works fine except the 1/2 note delay....it functions the same as the 1/4 note delay....

have u noticed this ???

please check it out.....

listen to the file pls....

I am using OS 4.0.0.18

is this a known issue that has been resolved in the current OS update ??

Delay = sound recording = memory.

The Virus has only so much temporary memory available. A few seconds of recording space.

Depending on the tempo and time-signature (the speed and therefore the amount of time that requires recording for each delay), some time-sigs are ignored if they exceed the memory (the available recording space) for the delay for any given tempo.

Or that's what I think causes it when I found the same myself (on my Indigo).

This is indicated further by slowly increasing the tempo for an ignored delay value. You'll find at some point it 'switches' to its real delay value when you've increased the tempo speed just enough to be able to fit all the delay for any given time-signature into the available memory.

Ya..Your'e Right !!! just came back to this post since I ran into the same issue on the Ti and was wondering again...
So Weird !!!
Odd that the virus with its dedicated RAM and Processor etc, has trouble doing this.....Only at around 170 BPM, does it function properly...
Unfortunately I work with 150 and below generally...

Also... the Manual says very little about the Delay functions...delay preset times etc....

ANyway Thanks Timo, for the reply....Just Saw this
