I have a "C" desktop. I'm also having a problem with the soundiver prog. I have everything set-up properly because it gets halfway thru downloading "A" & just freezes up every time. I have a soundblaster audigy s/c butt I don't think that's the prob. I don't even think I will need to use the prog. I just wanted to try it out & bam prob's right out of the box. Do any of you guys use the soundiver software?

SubOsc1

I used to have the same problem with Sounddiver until I changed Soundcard.

I upgraded from a M-Audio Audiophile 2496 to a RME HDSP9632.

Works a treat now!

I also changed MIDI cables to some very high quality ones - might be worth trying them first.

Default Ben Crossland's filter sound

Hi Ben, I wonder if you could just list the parameters you were using when you got that filter sound on your video - the sound you had when you played that funky little melody just after you say 'still self oscillating' about 3/4 of the way through the video. I've tried, but try as I might, I can't get the 'bite' that your sound had, even though it should be easy.

Many thanks

Pete

Hi Pete,

I was changing the Filter Mode (Filter Edit menu) from Analog 4P through to Analog 1P. As the number of poles is reduced, the sound gets more and more bite.
