Default WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF THE MOOG FILTERS?

CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE THAT I CAN USE. I CAN'T REALLY TELL MUCH DIFFERENCE FROM A REGULAR LOW PASS. IS THERE SOME DEMO PARAMETERS THAT SOMEONE CAN POST, SO I CAN SEE THE ADVANTAGE'S.

It's alright, you don't have to shout! We'll still help you even if you don't write everything in caps!

From -INIT- patch, set the following values:

Filter 1 Mode = Analog 2P

Resonance = 105

Cutoff = 50

Keyfollow (1+2) = +63

Play some notes.

Hear that growling fluctuation? That's an effect you can only achieve with the new filters.

Now from the -INIT- patch:

Turn Osc Balance all the way to Osc1

Set Osc1 to Sine

Filter1 Mode = Analog 2P

Check against normal Lowpass by pressing Value - and + simultaneously.

Now set it back to Analog 2P and adjust the Saturation.

Nice, isn't it?

sorry about the all caps. I write in all caps all day long due to the fact I work with engineering drawings. I don't see it as screaming, it's just capital letters. Anyway thanx for your parameters that's exactly what I was looking for. I'll take your parameters home today & try it out.

Subosc1 - As far as VA's go...the Virus is the darkest sounding of them all....and you probably already know this. Thats one of the reasons why the Virus excels at atmospheric soundscapes.

Ive used the Moog filters extensively and I'm of the opinion that they are even darker sounding than the standard Virus LP. The differences between the Virus LP and Moog appear subtle at first......but you will soon hear the aggressive nuances in the Moog filter type. The Moog filter can sound so raw that its painful to the ears. Probably one of the most expressive/rawest digital filters ever made.

What version of the Virus do you currently have?

You watched this yet?

Try running sounds like that on a 2000 watt PA system and you can kill people.

I'm not an actual employee, but I do quite a few 'odd jobs' for them, including the trade shows.
