What MIDI Interface are you using, does it come with its own drivers or relying on the windows built in ones?

Mine has done the same in the past. Usually because I swapped the Virus for another synth, or added several synths, that all use the same MIDI or expired ports on the MIDI interface.

Press Esc, or wait for another minute or so until it has finished trying to connect. Detach all other synths from the MIDI interface, remove all synths in SoundDiver, install the Virus in SoundDiver again, and then select/configure the correct MIDI ports.

Also check your MIDI drivers as Summa has suggested.

OK... I have M-Audio Firewire410..I also have a Korg R3 that i use as a midi controller for my VST's, JP-8080 & JV-1080... So I took and unhooked the R3 and I ran Firewire Midi out to Virus C IN, and Virus C MIDI OUT to Fire Wire MIDI IN... so there are no others with in the chain.

1 MIDI DUMP TX Total
"" RX Verify
1 MIDI Global Chain 1
1 MIDI DEVICE ID 1
1 MIDI CONTROL LoPage n HiPage Sysex

I got it to run last night, It took for ever and if i even touched the software page it would completly stop, when i would click on it, it would do the same. NOT RESPONDING, end progra, and send error report.....

does everyone have this problem with it taking so long and stalling.....

What I am trying to do, is save everything on my board to my computer to keep it as a back up.... I add the Virus C from the list and a screen pops up VIRUS C showing the hardware piece and All Multis, Singles and Global Data Im assuming from the directions that i do EDIT REQUEST, and when this is done it will ask me to save. but it dosent and there is nothign in the BUILD LIBURAY also.......

Am I doing anythign wrong???

excuse the spelling and grammar
