I created a GoogleAds campaign to get the rankings up - I guess it worked!

How does that work, then?

I'll just add that a month or so ago, Infekted barely registered in Google. But the last few weeks it was amazing watching it fly up the ranks every day.

I've been logging off and dialing up with a new dynamic IP and clicking the bastard in Google thinking that might count as extra hits and a higher rating.

(#1 would be fekkin sweet, tho )

*click*click*click*....

I have in my sig on the korg forums and the huge Harmony Central forums - dunno if that makes any difference to google rankings though.

...

Well that bizarre - just stuck an image search into google for "Access Virus Forum" on a nothing about this forum at all - though maybe it might show the logo graphic or something - instead to my horror I find an old photo of my studio

How do we help the forum move up the ranks?

Just search for it with Google using different IPs everytime?

The Key factors in a site#s Google rankings are how often it is linked to from other sites (the higher the other sites google ranking the more impact it has) and a major impact is the Google Ads.

I looked into the Google Ads and found that simply having an Ad campaign would have a huge impact on the Google ranking. So I put down ?30 a month towards promoting the site (this is the minimum) and am slowly moving the ad campaing around the world - so far I have hit the US and am currently working the UK.

I get charged everytime someone clicks on our Ad, so if you see our Ad onthe right hand side of any Google searches you may do then you will actually be doing us a favour by NOT clicking them - leave these clicks to the new members! If we click the links then yes it raises the ranking but I don't see as much value to the pound as we would if a new user clicks the link as they would probably sign up...

Does that even make sense? I've had a few too many Heinekens tonight!
