Default Take your Virus to bed................

Amazing what Sundays can induce. I havent for a year now made any sounds on my Virus A, as getting my Trinity and the Virus together is a bit awkward and cumbersome. Sometimes I liked to take my K station Rack to bed and make a few sounds as theres a little audition button on it.
Anyway I have bought a little Evolution MK-125 on EBay. So i could fiddle without the cumbersome trinity on my bed. Should be here this week hopefully, but the racks finished, Take a look.

So now the Evolution controller, or Oxygene 8, or Evo 225C, can sit on the bottom plate and I can twiddle with my virus in the bedroom, or at my desk, and its not too heavy and very portable.

I used the wooden ends as a pattern Jig, for the contours, and used a Jigsaw to cut it. I tried to get the virus as upright to not put stress on the rear and tip over, and luckily for a first go, and a few mods it takes a lot of lifting up before it would topple so its stable on uneven surfaces, i e , my bed. Im just waiting for the keyboard to arrive now!. aaah Its ok i have got all the measurements right, it will fit. Looks groovy and retro too. I might make one in a nicer wood as this was just chipboard i had lying around, but I put some black satinwood on it and ruffed the finish up to make it look textured and more Matt, (also masks the bad texture of chipboard). Was a bit of fun, and hopefully it will encourage me to take it all over the house and plug in and play whenever. As as good as some Audition buttons are i like to have velocity control.
