They can't have a patent. It's too general thing to be patented. Like anykind of graphical user interface or a concept of operating (for example virtual analog, wavetable, etc) cannot be patented because they really don't have the special value a patent needs.

Whatever it is they need to release info soon. Because I'm sure this has put all C line sales on pause.

And a touch-screen for graphical "Z3ta" style waveform/oscillator editing. But don't get me started.

I'd HATE it (with a vengeance) if you'd need a computer to do all your editing. That's why I use hardware and not Reaktor, etc.!

My list of wanted features for the new up-coming "Appatchi".

A cordless removeable touch screen (17.5cm x 10cm), so a can jump around the place and tweek the touch screen as it's pinned to my T-shirt.

An X-Y-Z controller (just like on the Alesis air FX thingy).

A strip controller that can be removed and be worn as a belt (great combo with that wireless touch-screen i rekon.

2 full size joysticks similar to the flight stick controller from microsoft. Configurable to any aspect of the "Appatchi".

Many knobs - each knob with thier own rotary LEDs, just like the NL3. But I want the knobs to be over sized for when i get old and can't grip the little knobs anymore. Maybe 3 cm diam. per knob would be OK.

Finally I would like the option to attach a guitar style strap (sh101 style).

You make all this Access and i'll give you my credit card number right now!!!

I also want a completely hands-free control (a mouth control probably?) so that I can use the synth after I'll get paralysed below neck in a car accident in Fanuary 2013.

i see you went to a fortune teller joho

acually i dont want anything more then a powerful modular with 32 poly on lagre synths which can dsp upgradeble-this way it starts only at around 1800-2000 $ ,lots of knobs and sliders, 2 lcd screens, digital outputs, and firewire connection insted of midi for editing.

and i dont think geting this into the market will stop people from buying the virus c
some people just look for something simple thats hands on and dont need alot of messing to get the sound you want.

Why? Why to waste a fast firewire port on your computer for an editing software that even a serial port can handle? USB editing or MIDI.

Oh, this is a feature i've missed on all the synthesizers.

I would like also like to se it comes with it own specially trained monkey for getting coffee, cleaning the apartment and just for company on lonely days and a refrigerator for cooling different drinks/bodyparts whenever the tweaking has been too much on your body (since it will feature a x-ray knob-tweak-controller in other words it will scan your bodymovement and bodyheat and then you can apply it to either cutoff or resonance for great trance-filtertweaks!)

Ohh, I get a vision that it will rain in octember causing me major damage to everything except a few well chosen bodyparts. I think that hands-free controler will also suit me just perfect
