Default Question About Used Virus TI ?

Hi,

I need some advice....

I am looking at picking up a used Virus TI 61 key model on my local Craigslist...

The unit has nothing included. Just the unit and power cord.
It is in perfect working condition.

Do I need anything else to use the unit?
Don't I need software that comes with the Virus? or do I need to
register the unit? Can I download or buy what I need?

I'd like to pick this unit up but I want to make sure it would have the same functions as if it were new.

Thanks so much for the help... I really appreciate it!

You can download the software from the website. All you need is the power chord , usb chord and audio cables if you dont want to use audio over usb. You should be able to register it with the ser. number on the back of the unit. Do some price checking though, make sure your aware that a ti1 is not as expensive as a Ti2 though the differences between the two are very minimal.

Thank you very much!

It's a TI1... I'll check it out... If I end up picking it up I'll let you know.

Thanks again for your help.

Nice work

A general tip in regards to drivers for any product:

You probably should always download the newest drivers off the company's website for any product you buy, since the drivers included with the product are often outdated.

You will not be disappointed. I have been a Roland guy for 27 years, but could never seem to buy the right equipment for what I wanted to do. After getting just the "Ti" desktop yesterday, I am completely convinced that this is the most user friendly piece of equipment I have ever purchased and I am so glad I finally have one on my stands. I have not had the chance to run the registration (previous owner never did) because I have been too darn busy tweakin' sounds already. With this thing, you are a newbie for about...ohhh ten minutes... I can't wait to get the latest OS this afternoon and start to see what new things have been added. Let's hear it for never buying a "one-shot" featured synth again!!
